It is a compact text-based data transfer format, making it easier to read and write. XML and JSON are two common data formats. The two primary databases include Relational Database (example: PostgreSQL, MySQL) and No SQL Database (example: MongoDB).

5. Frameworks

Frameworks simplify programming processes and offer a standardised method for developing and deploying web applications on the Internet. Both the server-side and client-side of web development have frameworks. Different frameworks are needed for various programming languages. The Spring Framework, usually referred to as Spring, is an open-source application framework that supports the infrastructure of Java applications. Ruby on Rails is often referred to as rails. It is a server-side web application development framework under the MIT License in the Ruby programming language. Django is a web application framework that is written in Python programming language. Django is used to create various kinds of websites, especially extremely customisable apps like social media websites. Flask is a small and compact Python web framework that offers effective tools and functionalities which make web applications in Python simpler.
