Formal job creation in India slowed in August after remaining buoyant for the previous four months. According to provisional payroll statistics from the National Statistical Office (NSO), compared to 1.82 million in July, net new EPFO subscriber addition decreased by 7.1% to 1.69 million in August. In comparison to 1.58 million in July, the ESIC reported an 8% decrease in net subscriber addition at 1.46 million. Read more
